Financial Aid and Scholarships

A college education is a significant investment. The actual cost of attending Wheaton can be substantially less for the hundreds of students who qualify for financial assistance. In fact, more than 60 percent of Wheaton students receive some form of financial aid from federal, state or college funds.

Many others take advantage of various alternative financing programs available through the Office of Student Financial Services.

Wheaton also offers merit-based scholarships to recognize outstanding achievement at the high school level and continued achievement in college. If a financial aid applicant is the recipient of a merit scholarship, it reduces his/her eligibility for need-based aid.

Beginning with freshmen entering in the fall of 2009, all applicants will be considered for merit scholarships of up to $15,000 per year. These scholarships are renewable throughout a student's academic career.

Applicants who have submitted all required documents will receive a financial aid notification at the time of the admission decision.
