The Human Resources department is Wheaton's main resource for information about benefits, compensation, professional development, college policies and work-related issues and concerns.

Meghann Beaulieu, Assistant Director of Human Resources
Employment, Employee Activities, and Training

Meghann manages the college's employment function, including staff recruitment and hiring, the orientation process for new employees, and employee activities and events. She coordinates internal training and information sessions, and conducts exit interviews. In addition, Meghann advises employees and managers on a variety of Human Resources issues.


Diane Cleary, Human Resources/Payroll Benefits Assistant
Benefits Enrollment and Inquiries

Diane conducts new employee benefit enrollments as well as TIAA-CREF retirement plan and Long Term disability enrollments. She maintains and updates the HR/Payroll database with new employee, payroll, and benefit information. She coordinates COBRA enrollments and billing. She is the initial contact person for general inquiries about benefits and payroll.

Kathie Francis, Administrative Assistant in Human Resources
Employment Activities

Kathie is the initial contact person for any employment and general Human Resources related inquiries. She processes tuition program forms and reimbursements and she coordinates worker's compensation forms and claims. In addition, Kathie also processes applicant and employee information and coordinates the scheduling of employment interviews, benefit orientations and exit interviews

Remle Gordon, SPHR, Associate Director of Human Resources
Benefits and Compensation

Remle is responsible for administering and managing the college's benefit and compensation programs, and is the main contact for leaves of absence. She manages the college's retirement plan, oversees the college's tuition programs, and leads HR/Payroll system initiatives. In addition, Remle advises employees and managers on a variety of Human Resources issues.


Barbara Lema, SPHR, Assistant Vice President and Director of Human Resources
HR Policies and Programs and Employee Relations

Barbara directs and manages all human resources programs, including benefits, compensation, employment, employee activities, training and communications, policies and procedures, employee relations and strategic planning. She advises and consults with employees and managers on a variety of human resources issues, especially those related to employee relations and supervision/management. Barbara also serves as Staff Affirmative Action Officer and liaison to the Employment Environment Committee of the Staff Association.
